The Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Fort Davis Indians to 41 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cowboys now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sanderson for a 1A Region II District 10 contest on Thursday, December 15. Grandfalls-Royalty will battle a Eagles team coming off a 55-24 league loss to Marathon (Marathon, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.

The Indians (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sierra Blanca (Sierra Blanca, TX). The Vaqueros enter the 1A Region II District 9 contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Sierra Blanca was nudged by Sanderson (Sanderson, TX), 35-18, in a non-league contest.
