The Hinsdale South Hornets basketball team (Darien, IL), was nudged 40-34 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL)
The Eagles now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland Park for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 14. Leyden will battle a Giants team coming off a 50-37 league loss to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL). The Giants record now stands at 5-5.
The Hornets (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Proviso East (Maywood, IL). The Pirates come into the West Suburban - Gold battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Proviso East edged Addison Trail (Addison, IL), 31-27, in a league battle.
