North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines thwarted by Lee County

The Union Pines Vikings basketball team (Cameron, NC), dropped 41-33 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC)

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Apex Friendship for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 14. Lee County will confront a Patriots team coming off a 64-28 league win over Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-1.

The Vikings (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Timberwolves come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Montgomery Central beat Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 61-35, in a non-league battle.
