Texas High School Basketball - New Summerfield topped by Overton

The Overton Mustangs basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the host New Summerfield Hornets to 24 in the Mustangs league victory on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Latexo for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Overton will battle a Tigers team coming off a 55-32 non-league loss to Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-6.

The Hornets (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cushing (Cushing, TX). The Bearkats come into the 2A Region III District 22 contest with a 7-6 record.
