The North Side Steers basketball team scored 28 points and restricted the visiting Polytechnic Parrots to 24 in the Steers league victory on Tuesday.

The Steers now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trimble Tech for a 5A Region I District 6 contest on Friday, December 16. North Side will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 39-36 league win over Wyatt (Fort Worth, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-5.

The Parrots (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against South Hills (Fort Worth, TX). The Scorpions come into the 5A Region I District 6 contest with a 2-13 record. In their last contest, South Hills was nudged by Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX), 50-31, in a league contest.
