The Wilcox Central Jaguars (Camden, AL) basketball nipped the host Shields Panthers (Beatrice, AL), 57-52 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Jaguars (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Monroe County (Monroeville, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Monroe County was tipped by Blacksher (Uriah, AL), 62-57, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Red Level for a 1A Area 3 test on Tuesday, January 3.
