The South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team scored 30 points and held the visiting Berry Cardinal to 14 in the Sabres non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sabres now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ardrey Kell for a contest on Tuesday, January 3.

The Cardinal (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
