North Carolina High School Basketball - Charlotte Catholic thwarts Independence

The Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 48-33 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Cougars (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The CMS Athletics go into the test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Rocky River went down by North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC), 70-45, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Garinger for a test on Friday, December 16. Independence will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 51-6 non-league loss to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-9.
