The Clayton Comets basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Corinth Holders Pirates to 25 in the Comets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Comets now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleveland for a contest on Thursday, December 15. Clayton will battle a Rams team coming off a 56-48 non-league loss to Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC). The Rams record now stands at 5-1.
The Pirates (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Southeast Raleigh dropped by Enloe (Raleigh, NC), 62-40, in a non-league contest.
