Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes (Marion, VA) and the host Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA), saw Marion's basketball squad overcome Northwood by a tally of 50-33.

With the victory, Marion improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Scarlet Hurricanes travel to Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 15. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Panthers play the Twin Valley Panthers (Pilgrims Knob, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Northwood will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
