In Wednesday's league outing, the Vestaburg Wolverines (Vestaburg, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Ashley Bears (Ashley, MI), by a count of 53-15.

The Wolverines (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI). The Irish go into the Mid-State outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Sacred Heart Academy smashed Merrill (Merrill, MI), 69-31, in a league outing.

The Bears now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Breckenridge for a Mid-State outing on Friday, December 15. Ashley will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 67-32 league win over St. Charles (St. Charles, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 3-1.
