The Fulton Pirates (Middleton, MI) basketball nipped the host Coleman Comets (Coleman, MI), 49-48 in Wednesday's league test.

The Pirates (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Carson City-Crystal (Carson City, MI). The Eagles go into the Mid-State test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Carson City-Crystal got by Montabella (Blanchard, MI), 45-43, in a league test.

The Comets now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Merrill for a Mid-State test on Friday, December 15. Coleman will encounter a Vandals squad coming off a 69-31 league loss to Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI). The Vandals record now stands at 1-2.
