New York High School Basketball - Franklin Academy nips Saranac Lake

Franklin Academy Huskies (Malone, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY), 47-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Franklin Academy upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY) to play the Blue Devils in a Section 10 Central bout on Friday, December 15. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Ogdensburg Free Academy lost 76-46 in their recent league bout against Potsdam (Potsdam, NY)

Next up, the Red Storm play the AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout, on Friday, December 15. Saranac Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 56-44 non-league win over Willsboro Central (Willsboro, NY).
