La Puente Warriors (La Puente, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South El Monte Eagles (South El Monte, CA), 51-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, La Puente upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Warriors travel to Jordan (Los Angeles, CA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Jordan won 71-32 in their recent league bout against Hawkins (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Gabrielino Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) in a Mission Valley bout, on Friday, December 15. South El Monte will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 61-26 league win over Marshall (Pasadena, CA).
