Berlin Mountaineers (Berlin, NH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newfound Regional Bears (Bristol, NH), 54-22 in a league bout.

With the win, Berlin upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Prospect Mountain (Alton, NH) to play the Timberwolves in a Division III bout on Friday, December 15. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Prospect Mountain lost 54-31 in their recent league bout against Winnisquam (Tilton, NH)

Next up, the Bears play the Gilford Golden Eagles (Gilford, NH) in a Division III bout, on Friday, December 15. Newfound Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 60-13 league win over Somersworth (Somersworth, NH).
