The Waynesboro Little Giants basketball team scored 28 points and held the visiting Monticello Mustangs to 26 in the Little Giants non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Little Giants now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harrisonburg for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Waynesboro will battle a Blue Streaks team coming off a 59-48 non-league loss to East Rockingham (Elkton, VA). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 0-3.

The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Fluvanna County was nudged by Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA), 39-17, in a non-league contest.
