East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), 59-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Davidson upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Lexington (Lexington, NC) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Lexington lost 56-31 in their recent non-league bout against Walkertown (Walkertown, NC)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 75-38 non-league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC).
