Virginia High School Basketball - Surry County overwhelmed by Sussex Central

The Sussex Central Tigers basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the host Surry County Cougars to 13 in the Tigers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Tigers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southampton for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 10.
The Cougars (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech (Petersburg, VA). The Dragons go into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech was routed by Greensville County (Emporia, VA), 48-7, in a non-league battle.
