The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX) and the host Amherst Bulldogs (Amherst, TX), observed Loop's basketball team overwhelm Amherst by a score of 85-45.

The Longhorns (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Spur (Spur, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Spur was routed by Highland (Roscoe, TX), 40-21, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Motley County Matadors (Matador, TX) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 17. Amherst will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record.
