The Ashland Hornets basketball squad (Ashland, ME), was crushed 70-23 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Easton Bears (Easton, ME)

With the victory, Easton advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Bears travel to Van Buren (Van Buren, ME) to meet the Crusaders in a D North battle on Monday, December 16. The Crusaders enter the test with a record of 0-2. Van Buren lost 82-9 in their recent league test against Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME)

The Hornets (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME). The Pioneers come into the D North test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Wisdom was routed by Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME), 72-31, in a non-league test.
