In Friday's non-league contest, the host Chattanooga Central Pounders basketball team scored a close 52-46 triumph over the Ooltewah Owls.

The Pounders (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Signal Mountain (Signal Mountain, TN). The Eagles go into the 3A District 6 contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Signal Mountain was tipped by Baylor (Chattanooga, TN), 77-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Owls confront the Ridgeland Panthers (Rossville, GA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Ooltewah will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 76-49 league loss to Heritage (Ringgold, GA).
