The Hersey Huskies basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Elk Grove Grenadiers to 16 in the Huskies league triumph on Friday.

The Huskies now possess a 8-0 record. They play next when they host Bartlett for a non-league game on Saturday, December 14. Hersey will play a Hawks team coming off a 52-49 league win over Larkin (Elgin, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Elk Grove falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Grenadiers host Cary-Grove (Cary, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league game on Monday, December 16. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 6-3. Cary-Grove won 81-48 in their recent non-league game against Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, IL)
