In Friday's league contest, the visiting St. Michael-Albertville Knights basketball team scored a big 83-58 triumph over the Elk River Elks.
The Knights (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN). The Crimson go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Maple Grove smashed Eden Prairie (Eden Prairie, MN), 54-52, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Elks battle the Rogers Royals (Rogers, MN) in a AAAA Section 8 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Elk River will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Royals go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 73-56 league win over Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN).
