The Grand Prairie Gophers basketball team scored 37 points and limited the host Sam Houston Texans to 26 in the Gophers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Gophers now have a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Red Oak for a non-league game on Saturday, December 14. Grand Prairie will confront a Hawks team coming off a 63-40 non-league win over Andress (El Paso, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, Sam Houston falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Texans travel to South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX) to confront the Warriors in a 6A Region I District 8 game on Friday, December 20. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 7-9. South Grand Prairie lost 69-54 in their recent non-league game against Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX)
