The Halifax County Comets basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Magna Vista Warriors to 30 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.

The Comets now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chatham for a non-league game on Monday, December 16. Halifax County will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 73-69 league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Magna Vista falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 1-3. Franklin County won 59-51 in their recent non-league game against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA)
