The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans (Morristown, TN) and the visiting Jefferson County Patriots (Dandridge, TN), observed Morristown-Hamblen West's basketball team knock off Jefferson County by a score of 59-51.

The Trojans (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Austin-East (Knoxville, TN). The Roadrunners come into the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last bout, Austin-East was beaten by Bearden (Knoxville, TN), 66-56, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Jefferson County falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Science Hill (Johnson City, TN) to play the Hilltoppers in a non-league bout on Monday, December 16. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Science Hill won 87-68 in their recent non-league bout against Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN)
