The Westminster Owls basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Liberty Lions to 56 in the Owls league triumph on Friday.

The Owls now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Tech for a non-league game on Monday, December 16. Westminster will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 70-57 non-league win over Lansdowne (Baltimore, MD). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Liberty falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD) to confront the Mavericks in a Carroll County game on Tuesday, December 17. The Mavericks go into the game with a record of 2-1. Manchester Valley lost 59-47 in their recent league game against Winters Mill (Westminster, MD)
