In Friday's league contest, the visiting Vandegrift Vipers basketball team scored a good 57-47 win over the McNeil Mavericks.

The Vipers (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Ridge (Round Rock, TX). The Raiders come into the 6A Region IV District 25 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Cedar Ridge was topped by Stony Point (Round Rock, TX), 86-24, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mavericks battle the Vista Ridge Rangers (Cedar Park, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 contest, on Friday, December 20. McNeil will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record. The Rangers come into the contest with a 7-8 record after their 55-46 non-league loss to Clear Falls (League City, TX).
