The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) and the host North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS), observed South Pontotoc's basketball team knock off North Pontotoc by a score of 61-46.

The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Senatobia (Senatobia, MS). The Warriors come into the 4A Region 2 challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Senatobia dropped by New Albany (New Albany, MS), 66-64, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Bruce Trojans (Bruce, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 19. North Pontotoc will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record.
