In Friday's non-league contest, the host Pinewood Panthers basketball team scored a close 62-57 win over the Rise University Prep Panthers.
The Panthers (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Capuchino (San Bruno, CA). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Capuchino edged Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA), 52-51, in a non-league contest.
