The Southern Wake Academy Lions basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots to 11 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Triangle Math & Science for a 1A Central Tar Heel game on Tuesday, December 17. Southern Wake Academy will play a Tigers team coming off a 45-23 non-league loss to NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, American Leadership Academy-Johnston falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Patriots host East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Monday, December 16. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 6-2. East Wake Academy won 57-15 in their recent league game against Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC)
