In Friday's league contest, the host Elgin Maroons basketball team scored a good 52-44 triumph over the Bartlett Hawks.

The Maroons (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL). The Chargers go into the non-league contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Dundee-Crown was topped by Hampshire (Hampshire, IL), 47-34, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hawks confront the Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) in a Upstate Eight contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Bartlett will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Tomcats go into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 45-41 league win over Ridgewood (Norridge, IL).
