In Friday's non-league contest, the host Beaverhead County Beavers basketball team scored a close 39-37 triumph over the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries.
The Beavers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Hardin (Hardin, MT). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Hardin nipped East Helena (East Helena, MT), 80-47, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings & Valkyries battle the Custer County Cowboys (Miles City, MT) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 20. Bigfork will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Cowboys go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 73-23 non-league loss to Park (Livingston, MT).
