The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lakeville Falcons (Otisville, MI) and the host Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI), observed Lakeville's basketball team knock off Birch Run by a score of 40-29.

The Falcons (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Durand (Durand, MI). The Railroaders come into the Mid-Michigan challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Durand was knocked off by Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI), 60-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Birch Run will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 43-38 non-league loss to Hamady (Flint, MI).
