The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX) and the visiting Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX), observed Joshua's basketball team knock off Burleson by a score of 46-30.

The Owls (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Wolves come into the 5A Region I District 8 challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, Mansfield Timberview prevailed over Centennial (Burleson, TX), 49-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Elks encounter the Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Burleson will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record.
