In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Byron Bears basketball team scored a good 66-56 triumph over the Lourdes Eagles.

The Bears (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN). The Bombers go into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Cannon Falls topped Pine Island (Pine Island, MN), 57-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) in a AA Section 1 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Lourdes will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 54-42 non-league win over Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN).
