In Friday's non-league contest, the host Cherokee County Warriors basketball team scored a big 50-25 triumph over the Piedmont Bulldogs.
The Warriors (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cleburne County (Heflin, AL). The Tigers go into the 4A Area 12 contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Cleburne County was trounced by Munford (Munford, AL), 36-19, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Westbrook Christian Warriors (Rainbow City, AL) in a 3A Area 12 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Piedmont will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 45-28 league loss to Glencoe (Glencoe, AL).
