In Friday's league contest, the host Clarksdale Wildcats basketball team scored a big 50-28 triumph over the Corinth Warriors.
The Wildcats (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Commodores go into the 5A Region 1 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Lafayette was trounced by Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS), 73-40, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) in a 5A Region 1 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Corinth will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Green Wave go into the contest with a 0-12 record after their 63-27 league loss to New Hope (Columbus, MS).
