In Friday's league contest, the visiting Claude Mustangs basketball team scored a big 76-31 triumph over the Hedley Owls.

The Mustangs (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against White Deer (White Deer, TX). The Bucks go into the 1A Region I District 2 contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, White Deer smashed Groom (Groom, TX), 54-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Owls confront the Lefors Pirates (Lefors, TX) in a 1A Region I District 2 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Hedley will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 80-33 league loss to McLean (McLean, TX).
