North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett can't get by Gray's Creek

The Purnell Swett Rams basketball squad (Pembroke, NC), was nudged 47-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC)

With the victory, Gray's Creek advances its record to 4-3 on the year. The Bears travel to Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC) to meet the Eagles in a 3A/4A United 8 battle on Thursday, December 19. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 4-2. Douglas Byrd lost 52-44 in their recent league battle against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC)

The Rams now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pinecrest for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 17. Purnell Swett will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 87-35 league win over Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-5.
