The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX) and the visiting Rice Bulldogs (Rice, TX), observed Maypearl's basketball team overwhelm Rice by a score of 55-11.

The Panthers (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region III District 18 challenge with a 5-13 record. In their last challenge, Palmer was routed by Grandview (Grandview, TX), 62-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Blooming Grove Lions (Blooming Grove, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Rice will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 48-44 league loss to Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX).
