In Friday's league contest, the host Mondovi Buffaloes basketball team scored a big 69-38 triumph over the Spring Valley Cardinals.

The Buffaloes (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau (Galesville, WI). The Red Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau was trounced by Black River Falls (Black River Falls, WI), 63-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Elk Mound Mounders (Elk Mound, WI) in a Dunn-St. Croix contest, on Thursday, December 19. Spring Valley will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Mounders go into the contest with a 7-0 record after their 46-24 league win over Colfax (Colfax, WI).
