In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Orrick Bearcats basketball team scored a close 32-30 triumph over the Sweet Springs Greyhounds.

The Bearcats (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lathrop (Lathrop, MO). The Mules go into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Lathrop nipped West Platte (Weston, MO), 49-24, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Greyhounds encounter the Oak Grove Panthers (Oak Grove, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 16. Sweet Springs will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 38-34 league win over Warrensburg (Warrensburg, MO).
