The Ponder Lions basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Pilot Point Bearcats to 16 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now have a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Boyd for a 3A Region II District 10 game on Tuesday, December 17. Ponder will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 42-27 league loss to Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Pilot Point falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Boyd (Boyd, TX) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 3A Region II District 10 game on Friday, December 20. The Yellowjackets go into the game with a record of 10-8. Boyd lost 83-30 in their recent league game against Ponder (Ponder, TX)
