Fans at Friday's league battle between the Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL) and the visiting Branford Buccaneers (Branford, FL), saw Lafayette's soccer squad knock off Branford by a count of 3-1.

The Hornets (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Newberry (Newberry, FL). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Newberry by Williston (Williston, FL), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Buccaneers battle the Fort White Indians (Fort White, FL) in a 2A D2 battle, on Monday, December 16. Branford will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 3-8 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Newberry (Newberry, FL).
