The Master's Academy Patriots utterly dominated the St. Edward's Pirates in their first matchup of the season. Gracie Crooks scored the first goal in the 3rd minute. Keira Smylie scored two goals (26', 69') with assists from Isabella Orjuela and Abby Brink. EllaMae scored what could be the most beautiful goal of the season on a header (51') on a perfect cross from Gracie Crooks. The Patriots defense completely smothered the Pirates who only managed to eek out one shot on goal thanks to a questionable foul that could have gone either way. However on that one Shot on Goal goalkeeper Annie Manzi made a spectacular save preserving the shutout.
