The Stone Tomcats soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Wayne County War Eagles to 0 in the Tomcats league victory on Friday.
The Tomcats now hold a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Laurel for a 5A Region 4 outing on Tuesday, December 17. Stone will confront a Golden Tornadoes squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over North Forrest (Hattiesburg, MS). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 8-10.
Next up, the War Eagles confront the Gautier Gators (Gautier, MS) in a 5A Region 4 outing, on Tuesday, December 17. Wayne County will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Gators go into the outing with a 4-6 record after their 5-0 league loss to East Central (Moss Point, MS).
