In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles basketball team scored a big 84-40 win over the Rockingham County Cougars.
The Golden Eagles (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Grimsley (Greensboro, NC). The Whirlies come into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Grimsley smashed Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 63-48, in a non-league contest.
