The Shadyside Tigers basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Buckeye Local Panthers to 34 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Martins Ferry for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. Shadyside will confront a Purple Riders team coming off a 33-22 non-league win over Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH). The Purple Riders record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Buckeye Local falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 1-0. Catholic Central won 51-47 in their recent non-league game against Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV)
