The Petal Panthers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Oak Grove Warriors to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now hold a 8-0 record. They play next when they travel to Northwest Rankin for a 7A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, December 17. Petal will play a Cougars squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Meridian (Meridian, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Oak Grove moves to 4-6 on the year. The Warriors host Brandon (Brandon, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a 7A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Brandon won 6-1 in their recent league bout against Pearl (Pearl, MS)
